Based around our unique existing design technology the flatware production machine has been further developed to increase the overall range of product size and weight that can be produced using this robust and reliable process.  Enhanced production and waste reduction cycles now deliver significantly higher machine utlisation times and further reduction in cost per unit of production.  These significant developments are now being rolled out across our complete range of machinery and incorporate low cost automation giving enhanced productivity and lower cost of production.

Project: Decal Application Opal Glass Flatware

Customer Requirements:

Cost effective solution to high quality decal application

Key Objective:

  • Repeatable consistent performance with high levels of accuracy when placing decals onto a wide range of regular and non-regular shapes

Solution:

Best described as a  ‘challenging project’ or  ‘clean sheet engineering’ approach to the specific problems encountered.  However, our unique heritage coupled with our Intellectual Property knowledge in this area enabled our design team  to adopt a truly innovative approach to the production problems in designing the next generation DAM’s (decal application machines).  Utilising 3D modelling and animation techniques individual components were produced in real time enabling system development and machine completion ahead of schedule.  Collaboraton with our customer throughout design and production ensured that all key objectives were met.

DAM’s Machine:

Capable of printing complex designs on glass at high speed.  This machine can produce upto 7 tons/day of ware with 1 operator/shift. The DAM’s machine executes precision decoration 24/7.  NiBek’s highly professional team designed, manufactured and project managed the entire operation.  Our technical engineers built, installed and commissoned the machine providing a ‘one stop solution’ for our customer.
